Among the news items that we have published this morning are several which demonstrate what I believe is unprecedented activity to get more people into golf.
From Manchester to Myanmar, from London to Los Angeles, the Golf Industry, in a spirit of enlightened self-interest, is embracing radical measures in pursuit of prosperity which can no longer be taken for granted.
Of particular note is the recent annual conference of the European Institute of Golf Course Architects. Entitled “Golf For All – Designs on the Future” this important and influential meeting looked predominantly at what can be done to make golf more inclusive, particularly to women, children and people who are visually or physically impaired. The ideas were thought-provoking and constructive with a potential for having a significant impact in the near future and beyond.
