This week Royal Dornoch Golf Club is welcoming representatives from 57 of the world’s 66 Royal Clubs for a week of golf and hospitality to help celebrate 400 years of Golf at Dornoch.

Sir Bob is one of the world’s most renowned and popular golfers, becoming Champion Golfer of the Year after winning The Open in a play-off at Royal Lytham & St Annes in 1963. He won nearly 80 titles around the world and was admitted to the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2008

Born in Belfast, Gavin Caldwell is only the third Irishman ever to be Captain of the Club in its very long history. Mr Caldwell will represent The R&A and support its work in developing golf around the world
