Golf Industry News - Golfing Union of Ireland

The Golfing Union of Ireland (GUI) and the Irish Ladies Golf Union (ILGU) have announced that golf clubs in the Republic of Ireland will have to close for the next six weeks under the country's new Level 5 Covid-19 restrictions.

The next phase of the relaxation of the Republic of Ireland's Covid-19 restrictions will allow golfers to tee off in four-balls from June 29, as well as enabling the hosting of club competitions, and the opening of clubhouse bars and restaurants under strict health and safety guidelines.

Northern Ireland’s golf clubs are to be allowed to stage club competitions and host fourballs from June 8, as the country moves into phase two of its relaxation of its Covid-19 lockdown measures.
