Golf Industry News - Herb Kohler

Golfers have a final chance to own a part of golf's most coveted address after it was revealed that only one of the 27 apartments at Hamilton Grand, the 18th century six-storey building that overlooks the and first tee and the 18th green of the Old Course at St Andrews, remains unsold.

Herb Kohler, who oversaw the expansion of his family’s plumbing and manufacturing business into a worldwide leader in the industry, while also becoming a prominent figure in the world of golf, died on September 3 in Wisconsin.

The impact of the pandemic on revenues has been felt across the entire golf travel sector, but few destinations have been affected more keenly than at the Home of Golf, St Andrews.
