Former USPGA chief executive Joe Steranka was among a who’s who of golfing administrators who attended the funeral of his one-time PGA counterpart Sandy Jones, who died last month at the age of 75.

The world of golf has paid tribute to Sandy Jones, a golfing ‘visionary’, key architect in the evolution of The PGA, the Ryder Cup and growth of the game worldwide, who has passed away following a short illness.

Former European Tour player Nick Dougherty has succeeded Sandy Jones as president of the Golf Foundation.
