The United States Golf Association has selected Tiger Woods as the recipient of this year’s Bob Jones Award, the USGA’s highest honour, in recognition of his commitment to sportsmanship and respect for golf’s longstanding traditions.

Following the announcement by The R&A and USGA that there will be limitations on golf balls introduced from 2028, the European Institute of Golf Course Architects (EIGCA) and the Society of Australian Golf Course Architects (SAGCA) have issued a joint response explaining their support of the decision.

Titleist and Callaway, two of the golf industry’s leading ball brands have issued statements reacting to the R&A and UGSA’s proposal to curb the distances that all golfers will be able to hit the ball in future.
