Blinder Bunkers Showcase in Germany

Blinder Bunkers has taken to the autobahn to spread the word about the revolutionary bunker liner system

Profusion Environmental under took a road trip to Germany  to install trial bunkers at Hamburger GC, and Dortmunder GC so the clubs could see first hand the remarkable qualities the rubberised, porous bunker liners bring.

“The team, led by Simon Bolton, and accompanied by Michael Wellington and Neil Wyatt, travelled a total of 1,350 miles, using the Euro Tunnel and travelling through France and Belgium, to carry out the work,” explained Louise Wyatt, of Profusion Environmental.

Heading first to Hamburg, after an early night, the team installed the first trial bunker before heading to Dortmund where the second bunker was installed the next day The team enjoyed an evening out with the Dortmund Greenkeeping Team before setting off for home in the morning.

Since it was launched three years ago Blinder Bunker, which prevents bunker contamination and sand loss, while being completely free draining, has been installed in many golf clubs with startling results.

“It has always been our intention to spread the word about Blinder Bunkers and we are delighted that our partners, Profusion Environmental, undertook the German trip to showcase our bunker liners to a new audience,” explained Blinder Bunker Liner Director, Penny Long.

“We are sure that when the benefits of a Blinder Bunker are seen first hand the golf clubs will be extremely impressed,” she added.

Similar tours are being planned for the future with Italy being targeted within the next few weeks.
