Galvin Green has appointed Tom Burlison to the newly-created position of Marketing Co-ordinator – Trade & Retail in order to support stockists throughout the UK & Ireland, the high-performance golf clothing brand’s largest market.

Tom, 26, has been with Galvin Green since May last year working as a Technical Representative covering the South of England, where he has been responsible for the growing apparel brand’s product training and in-store merchandising. In his new role, he will assume responsibility for all Galvin Green in-store activities, including POS, sales units, merchandising and staff product training, plus liaising with the leading buying groups on trade marketing.

“This is an important new position in the company to ensure that our stockists are fully equipped to meet the growing consumer demand for the expanding Galvin Green collections,” said Mike Johnson-Hill, Managing Director in the UK & Ireland. “Just as we’re committing more investment in informing the consumer of our product lines and benefits of layering clothing for golf, so we also need to enhance the in-store experience and help our stockists sell-through,” he added.

Tom, who holds a BSc degree in Sports Management (Golf), spent two years at The Club at Meyrick Park in Bournemouth in various management roles before joining Galvin Green. He also gained relevant experience as an Internet Sales Manager at Oxley Park Golf Club in Wolverhampton, a Demonstration Day Manager for TaylorMade Golf and while working with the Fitness First Group and as a project team leader at Golf at Goodwood.
