Vantage and Masters merge

Two of Britain’s leading accessory companies – Vantage Golf and Masters Golf – have merged.

Bristol-based Masters’ nation-wide sales force, computerised administration system and 24-hour delivery service are expected to enhance the extensive international and European networks developed by Surrey-based Vantage.

The merger is also expected to add buying power to the two companies’ range of products, bring down expenses and help the new organisation to become even more competitive.

“The current trend for dynamic and forward-looking companies is to expand their world-wide trade. The golf industry cannot be an exception. As a result of this merger the new company will achieve greater economies of scale and new opportunities for synergy,” – said Masters managing director Darren Evans.

It is intended that the British operation will be based at Bristol while the export market and distribution will still be serviced from Cranleigh.
