Woollard Plant has recently completed excavation and earthworks on a new reservoir at Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club.

The scheme, designed by Bill Hawthorne of 2iC irrigation consultants, finally achieved planning approval after five difficult years.

BAGCC Chairman Brian Pierson was awarded the contract and called in fellow members Woollard Plant and Landline Limited who combined to complete the project on time and within budget.

Trenching Services and Pumpac were responsible for the water harvesting aspects of the work.

Course Manager Chris Mitchell supervised all aspects of the work and undertook the final cultivation and seeding in-house.

Speaking recently, Bill Hawthorne stated: “I have been impressed by the contractors’ ability to follow my plans and levels exactly.”
