A new dimension has been added to the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) Annual International Summit with the introduction of a networking tournament.

Industry leaders, decision-makers, general managers and club professionals will participate in the inaugural AGIF Business Leaders Invitational at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort on October 28.

The Summit, featuring globally acclaimed speakers and panellists addressing the golf industry’s most pressing issues, is being staged at the Sime Darby Convention Centre on October 29-30.

Rishi Narain, Head – Events, Sponsorship and Membership at the AGIF, said: “The AGIF Golf Business Leaders Invitational is a first-of-its-kind event that offers a unique opportunity for participants to come together and connect over a game of golf at a world-class championship course.

“The tournament is the perfect ice-breaker, setting the stage for productive conversations and building relationships at the Summit.”

For the second year in succession, the Summit will align with the LPGA Tour’s US$3 million Maybank Championship at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club.

Delegates at the Summit will receive entry passes to the richest LPGA Tour event in Asia as well as an invitation to a poolside barbecue at the award-winning venue.

“The AGIF is bringing together a landmark, three-day event of golf, knowledge, networking, awards and live LPGA Maybank Championship. It promises to be a dynamic week as we turn the focus on technology and sustainability – and the hot issues in the Asian golf industry,” said Narain.

Among the companies who have already confirmed the attendance of senior executives are Campey Turf Care Systems, Centaur Asia Pacific, Envoy Golf, Golf Caddies, Golf Genius, Jebsen & Jessen, Laguna Phuket, Malaysia Golf Association, MST Golf Group, Rain Bird, Sustane Natural Fertiliser, The R&A and 59Club Asia.

“There’s also been strong support from golfing organisations and golf clubs in Malaysia,” said Adam Calver, APGC Vice President and General Manager at the KLGCC where a luncheon was held to introduce many of the country’s most influential golfing figures to the Summit.

Located less than 20 minutes from Kuala Lumpur city centre, the Sime Darby Convention Centre is surrounded by greenery and accessible from five major highways.

Gold sponsors of the 2025 AGIF Annual International Summit are The R&A, Club Car and Trojan Battery Company. Sime Darby Convention Centre is the Venue Partner while the Malaysian Association of Golf Recreational Club Owners (MAGRO) and the Golf Course Superintendents’ Association of Malaysia (GCSAM) are Supporting Partners.
