GCAE postpones European Golf Business Conference 

The Golf Course Association of Europe has postponed the European Golf Business Conference that was scheduled to take place at Parador de Malaga Golf Club in Spain from March 7-9 due to on-going issues with Covid travel restrictions.

The Golf Course Association of Europe has postponed the European Golf Business Conference that was scheduled to take place at Parador de Malaga Golf Club in Spain from March 7-9 due to on-going issues with Covid travel restrictions.

No new date has been set, but the GCAE is hoping to reschedule the conference for a new date in the autumn. 

A mini online conference is being scheduled to take place on February 28, with guest speakers including Jay Karen, CEO of the National Golf Course Owners Association in America; Jonathan Smith, chief executive of GEO; and Swedish golf course owner Tony Trigell.

The full 2022 conference is titled ‘Grabbing the Big and New Opportunities in Golf’ with themes centred around retention of new golfers, sustainability in golf course design and developments in golf course technology.
