Entries flood in for Faldo Futures Series

More than 2,000 young golfers already registered for the Faldo Futures as qualifying events roll out nationwide

More than 2,000 young golfers have already registered to take part in Faldo Futures qualifying events across the UK and Ireland, as the Faldo Series celebrates its 30th anniversary and continues its mission to inspire the next generation of golfers.

Founded by Sir Nick Faldo following his historic third Masters victory in 1996, the Faldo Series has become one of the most respected junior development pathways in world golf. Over the past three decades, more than 45,000 young players from around the globe have taken part in Faldo Series events, gaining valuable competitive experience and progressing through the sport’s development ranks.

Faldo Futures, designed for boys and girls aged 7 to 12, offers an exciting introduction to competitive golf through inclusive nine-hole events played on shortened courses at golf clubs nationwide. The competitions are designed to be accessible, welcoming and enjoyable for young golfers taking their first steps into tournament play.

With over 2,000 children already signed up for qualifying events, demand for places has been strong. Parents are being encouraged to register their children soon to avoid missing out, as events continue to fill quickly across the country.

Qualifying competitions are taking place at golf clubs nationwide, giving young players the chance to compete locally while experiencing the thrill of tournament golf.

Sir Nick Faldo will host the Futures Series final at The Belfry

The top two players in each age division will progress to regional finals, with the journey culminating at the prestigious Faldo Futures Final, held at The Belfry during the British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo. Finalists will have the unique opportunity to compete alongside one of the world’s leading professional tournaments and meet Sir Nick himself.

As part of the anniversary programme, the Faldo Series will also host junior competitions at leading venues including Lough Erne Resort in Northern Ireland, bringing elite junior golf to some of the UK and Ireland’s finest courses.

The 30th anniversary season highlights the Faldo Series’ continued commitment to nurturing young talent and providing a clear pathway from grassroots participation to elite junior competition.
