The English Golf Union will be present at the Volvo PGA Championship 2004 at the Wentworth Club in Surrey, from Wednesday 26th May through to Sunday 30th May.
The golf development team will be there to promote various grass roots initiatives aimed at encouraging more people into the game regardless of age, gender or background and programmes that help to strengthen structures within golf clubs nationwide.
The EGU’s junior development work continues to offer many opportunities through the England Junior Golf Partnership and details of programmes such as the Junior GolfMark, Junior Organisers‘ Handbook and Club Coaching Grant will be available, along with all other resources created for those involved in junior golf.
Commitment from the EGU to develop all aspects of the game, from recruitment to retention, has led to the success of initiatives like Free Golf Coaching, Associate Membership and the Membership Vacancies List – all of which form part of a long-term strategy that supports the game at grass roots.
