North Berwick Golf Club is strengthening its approach to course management and stakeholder communication through the adoption of Clere Golf’s golfHUB platform, with Course Manager Kyle Cruickshank leading one of the most advanced implementations of the system in the UK.
While golfHUB is increasingly used across Europe to manage winter programmes, Kyle and his team have broadened its role significantly at the historic links. The platform has become a centralised digital hub for critical course data, supporting both day-to-day decision-making and long-term strategic planning.
North Berwick now stores a wide range of essential documents and surveys within golfHUB, including Irrigation as-laid plans; coastal erosion risk assessments and monitoring surveys; annual aerial surveys, enabling year-on-year comparison of course changes; and winter project documentation, including before-and-after photographs of bunker rebuilds and revetting work.
This centralisation gives Kyle and his team quick access to historical and technical information, improving accuracy, efficiency and continuity across the department.

“Having all our course-related data in one place allows us to make clearer decisions, respond faster, and present information confidently to stakeholders. The ability to compare historical surveys and project outcomes is invaluable for a course shaped so heavily by natural forces,” says Kyle.
Kyle has also integrated golfHUB into the club’s communication workflow, using it to prepare regular stakeholder updates and project summaries for committees and management, as well as visual presentations to explain proposed course alterations.
Through golfHUB, Kyle can visually demonstrate progress, justify decisions, and ensure transparency across all levels of the club’s governance.
“Using golfHUB to sketch out course updates and present our work has made communication far more engaging and far easier for stakeholders to understand,” adds Kyle. “It’s become a key part of how we tell the story of the course and the work that goes into maintaining it.”
North Berwick’s adoption of the platform reflects a growing shift within the industry towards data-driven course management. golfHUB now supports clubs across the UK and Europe by consolidating information, streamlining workflows, and improving internal and external communication. This momentum was recognised this year when Clere Golf received the Sustainability Award for Technology and Innovation, demonstrating the platform’s contribution to more responsible, efficient and transparent course operations.
