The DP World Tour scooped a prestigious award at the 2025 FEVO Sports Industry Awards after its social media team won the Best Short Form Content category.

Presented at a ceremony held in London on May 15, the award was for a 60-second video which aired in February last year which showed Ryder Cup star Tommy Fleetwood seemingly attempting to make a hole-in-one from the back of the cargo plane flying at 30,000 feet over Dubai.

The daring concept, which was filmed in a studio with green screens and added CGI special effects, proved a viral hit, attracting 300 million organic video views and 8 million engagements.

The video surpassed the Tour’s previous best-performing digital content by 600%, as well as receiving considerable media coverage.

According to the awards’ judging panel, ‘The quality of the piece and remarkable success re-affirmed the DP World Tour’s position as a pioneer of best-in-class, innovative social sports content’.
