Tim Southwell, the founder of GolfPunk, has announced that the business had secured a second round of funding from Jenson Funding Partners, one of the UK’s most active investors in growth businesses.

Southwell commented: “We are delighted to be working with the team at Jenson, who really understand where we are trying to take the brand, and the size of the opportunity that exists within digital media, both in the UK and globally.”

Martin Spiller, a Partner with Jenson commented: “We were impressed with Tim’s vision for the brand in the new digital world, what they had already achieved to date, and why they wanted our support to accelerate their growth.”

Southwell concluded: “Jenson’s involvement comes at a great time for the business, as we have just done our first 100,000 reader digital issue. Their support will enable us to build on this, and allow us to invest in developing our website, which will sit alongside our digital magazine offering.”
