Bridgestone makes a splash with new ‘water-repellant’ golf ball

Leading ball brand introduces new coating that enhances performance in wet conditions

Bridgestone has launched a new golf ball that features a hydrophobic coating that repels water, prevents ‘mud balls’ and provides superior performance in wet conditions.

The all-new e12 SPLASH features a soft, low-compression core paired with a sidespin-reducing mantle for straighter flight, along with Bridgestone’s unique Contact Force Dimple pattern that maximizes energy transfer at impact.

The addition of the innovative RPL-X hydrophobic coating takes performance even further, promoting optimal launch and spin in wet conditions. The result is one of the longest and straightest golf balls available engineered to perform no matter what the weather forecast or the prevailing conditions under foot.

The12 SPLASH also features Bridgestone’s MindSet technology, developed in collaboration with Jason Day and his performance coach Jason Goldsmith to strengthen pre-shot routine, mental focus, and overall consistency. The simple three-step process — Identify, Visualize, Focus — leverages the visual cue on the golf ball to guide players through an effective routine that can deliver immediate improvements to all aspects of a player’s game from tee to green.

The new Bridgestone e12 SPLASH has an RRP of $34.99 per dozen and will be available at retail from October 10.
