Titleist’s Pro V1 Left Dot golf ball, a lower-flying, lower-spinning version of Pro V1 that has won over 30 PGA TOUR titles, including two majors, are to go on sale in the US and Canada later this month as part of a limited run.
Designated by •Pro V1 on its sidestamp, Left Dot was first introduced on the PGA TOUR as a Custom Performance Option. CPO models allow Titleist to test new designs with tour players, often leading to innovations in future Pro V1 and Pro V1x models. Left Dot was created for players who prefer the soft feel of Pro V1 but need lower flight and reduced long-game spin.
Its breakthrough came from high gradient core construction, steepening the ‘spin slope’ to lower full-swing spin while maintaining short-game control. Learnings from this design were incorporated into the 2023 Pro V1 and Pro V1x, both of which continue to feature the technology in 2025.
Since launch, Left Dot has maintained a presence on global tours among players whose launch conditions fit its unique profile. In 2025, 3% of tour-level fittings have recommended Left Dot, showing a meaningful subset of golfers benefit from its lower flight, lower spin, and soft feel.

The ball has earned validation at the highest level, including victories at the 2016 Open Championship and 2018 Masters. PGA TOUR winners with Left Dot include Tony Finau, Tom Hoge, Justin Rose, and Jake Knapp.
Finau, who has five wins with Left Dot, praised its reliability in all wind conditions: “If you can control your ball flight, you can control the distance. I know how far the golf ball is going to go.”
Knapp, who shot 59 at PGA National using Left Dot, added: “I can hit it high if I need to, or flight it down. It reacts just the way I need it to.”
In 2025, Left Dot accounts for about 6% of Titleist golf ball usage on the PGA TOUR. Overall, Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x models dominate with 72% usage, more than seven times the nearest competitor.
Pro V1 Left Dot will be offered through Titleist.com and select online retailers in the US and Canada starting September 23. They are priced at $55 per dozen, with a limit two dozen per customer.
