Big Boy’s Toys

Famous for being a life-long fan of John Deere, the new Open Champion has spent some of the £850,000 prize money on a new 110hp 6330 Premium Tractor worth around £60,000.

The 2010 Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen has received his new John Deere 110hp 6330 Premium tractor from his local dealer Agrico.

Oosthuizen was already well-known to the team from Agrico – his family, who live in Mosselbay (not far away from Ernie Els), have been using John Deere equipment of their farm for many years – so, naturally, the dealership threw in a complimentary X120 ride-on mower as well – and a new JD hat!

The tractor is worth around £60,000 (UK list price).

The Press Association reports: “Being a farm boy it was one of my big dreams, and I bought myself a nice John Deere tractor for my farm back in South Africa,” said the 27-year-old. “John Deere is very close to my heart. It’s for me to drive around on and I made sure there was enough space for my little daughter Jana to sit beside me. We’re going to have a lot of fun.” (UKPA)
