Big Max USA appoints CEO

Leading European push cart brand appoints highly experienced golf industry executive to manage growth in US market.

BIG MAX, Europe’s leading push cart and golf bag manufacturer, has appointed former Wilson global commercial director Doug Wright to head up its operations in the US.

Wright brings extensive experience from a distinguished 27-year career at Wilson, during which he spent a decade heading the brand’s global commercial operations from Chicago. His appointment represents a significant milestone for BIG MAX as it prepares to capitalise on increasing opportunities for the business in the US market.

“BIG MAX’s dominance in the European market is based on quality and innovation and that is the perfect foundation from which to build a brand,” said Wright. “We have experienced significant growth over the last year, so I’m excited to drive that momentum and find new routes to bring these first-class products to more consumers. I can’t wait to apply my experience to the BIG MAX business and elevate it to the next level.”

Maxi Reiter, representative for the owner of BIG MAX, said: “Doug’s reputation in the US golf industry is second to none. He has been integral in growing the Wilson brand, and his skills and experience are the perfect match for our US business,” said “We have the products, we have the infrastructure, and now we have the personnel to drive forward with our ambitions.”

To arrange a meeting with Doug Wright at next week’s PGA Show in Orlando, or to discuss any opportunities for working with BIG MAX, send an email to wright@bigmaxgolf.com.
