Callaway Golf promotes Larry Dorman to Senior V-P

Callaway Golf Company has announced that Larry Dorman has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President, Global Press and Public Relations. Mr. Dorman has been a Vice President with the Company since 1997. His new position reflects the global scope of his press and public relations capabilities, and emphasizes the growing vital role the company expects Mr. Dorman’s expertise to play in light of the Company’s recent international expansion.

“Larry has an outstanding relationship with the members of the press, all of whom respect him as a writer and as a person,” said Ely Callaway, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Callaway Golf. “In my opinion, he has unique talents that allow him to perform his job everyday in a way that greatly benefits the Company.”

Prior to joining Callaway Golf, Mr. Dorman, age 49, was the Golf Correspondent for the New York Times from 1992-1997 and a Contributing Editor to Golf Digest. An award-winning writer whose work has appeared in publications worldwide, Mr. Dorman also is a past President of the Golf Writers Association of America.
