The founder of Karsten Manufacturing Corporation and creator of PING golf clubs has died at his home in Phoenix, Arizona.

Karsten Solheim, founder of Karsten Manufacturing Corporation and creator of PING golf clubs has died at his home in Phoenix, Arizona of complications resulting from progressive Parkinson’s disease. He was 88. Solheim’s death has brought an outpouring of respect and admiration from friends and leaders in the golf industry.
