Less than a week after former LIV Golf commissioner Greg Norman formally announced his departure from the league, another key member of the management team has left in search of new career opportunities following the exit of chief marketing officer Adam Harter.
In post since May last year, Harter joined LIV Golf from PepsiCo, where he rose to the position of Senior VP of Media, Sports & Entertainment following a 20-year career with the global drinks brand.
During his short tenure at LIV, Harter had been instrumental in shaping the Saudi PIF-backed league’s global marketing strategy, overseeing brand development, fan engagement, and strategic partnerships for both LIV Golf and The International Series.
Writing on LinkedIn, Harter said: “After an incredible journey over the past two seasons, I’ve decided to step down as Chief Marketing Officer of LIV Golf. This experience has been nothing short of extraordinary. I’m grateful to have worked with some of the most passionate and creative people in sports, and proud of what we accomplished together — from breakthrough campaigns to creating unforgettable moments around the world on and off the course.”
He added: “While I’m excited to soon take on a new challenge and bring the same energy to building another brand, what won’t change is my admiration for the talent, courage, and vision of the LIV Golf team. I leave with immense gratitude, countless friendships, and excitement for both LIV Golf’s future and my next new adventure. Long LIV Golf! The mission continues…. and I know the best is yet to come.”
LIV Golf has already unveiled its schedule for 2026, with new events taking place in Johannesburg in South Africa and New Orleans in Louisiana, USA, while Hong Kong and South Korea both return to the schedule. The 2026 season will start on February 5-7, with LIV Golf Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.
