What’s happening?: Special occasions demand a very special event and the 2010 Open Party will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of the first Open championship with an Argentinean themed party at St Andrew’s Byre Theatre on Wednesday July 14th.

Golf industry professionals can expect another exotic and entertaining mix of live music, great food and drink and dancing which will be sponsored by the Argentine Tourist Board’s golf promotion bureau.

The Byre Theatre is a gem of a venue, situated in the heart of St Andrew and easy distance of the course, hotels, bars and restaurants.

Co-organiser, Annie Harper of organisers, The Trinity Partnership, said: “The Open Party is now in its fifth year and is regularly attended by in excess of 200 guests from the world of golf including the media, travel, governing bodies, manufacturers, pro golfers and other professionals.

“The 2010 Open is a particularly significant event in golf’s long and illustrious history as it marks the 150th anniversary of the very first Open being played and we are delighted to be a part of the celebrations.”
