Burhill Golf and Leisure, part of Burhill Group, has acquired Golf Entertainments Holdings Limited, trading as GolfPlex, adding the innovative Berkshire-based venue to its growing portfolio.

Located in Bracknell, GolfPlex is a modern, entertainment-led golf venue offering a broad range of experiences designed to appeal to golfers and non-golfers alike. Facilities include a 25-bay Toptracer driving range, adventure golf, sports simulators, foot golf, four Padel courts, and a wide variety of activities focused on making golf more fun, accessible, and engaging.

GolfPlex’s facilities also include a 10-hole Foot Golf course and a 25-bay driving range

The acquisition marks an important step in BGL’s uplifted strategy to broaden and strengthen its golf and leisure offering, while supporting its ambition to grow the game through high-quality, innovative experiences. The announcement follows a record year for BGL Golf in 2025, reflecting sustained investment in its venues, people, and customer experience across the group.

GolfPlex will sit within the BGL Golf Division, working closely alongside BGL’s existing venues and teams to ensure strong alignment, shared expertise, and opportunities for collaboration across the group.

Simon Thompson, BGL’s chief executive, said: “I’m delighted to welcome GolfPlex into the BGL Golf portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity for our group and an important step forward as we continue to broaden and strengthen our golf and leisure offering.

“GolfPlex is an innovative, modern venue that brings people together through fun, accessible, and high-quality golf experiences. Their entertainment-led approach complements our existing portfolio brilliantly and supports our ambition to grow the game in new and engaging ways.”

This latest acquisition represents a continued commitment from BGL to growing the game of golf by creating exciting and engaging experiences that inspire both new and existing players. In recent years, the group has transformed its driving ranges across its golf venues into high-tech, entertainment-led environments, complete with enhanced food and beverage offerings and a vibrant sports bar atmosphere – helping redefine how people experience the game.

Alongside this, BGL launched its Pathway to Golf programme in 2025, designed to provide a structured and welcoming route into the sport for the next generation of golfers.

The sale of Golfplex to the Burhill Group was handled by property agents HMH Golf & Leisure.
