HMH reports the sale of Merrist Wood Golf Club in Worplesdon, Surrey. The property has been acquired by Lavershot Oaks Limited for an undisclosed sum.
Merrist Wood Golf Club comprises an 18 hole, David Williams designed, 6,900 yard (par 72) golf course, practice facilities, and a c. 7,500 sq ft clubhouse with separate golf shop. The course, which is set in over 200 acres of rolling parkland, was voted by Golf World as one of the UK’s top ten new courses constructed in the 1990s.
