The Sale of this Romford, Essex, golf club is the specialist firm’s 7th sale so far this year

Stapleford Abbotts Golf Club came to market in April with a guide price of £3.5m for the whole site or £2.5m if the driving range development site was excluded.

At the time Tom Marriott at HMH Golf & Leisure commented: “This is a fantastic opportunity to own a freehold golf club inside the M25 motorway. The club is well known and is popular.”

The facilities comprise 138 acres (est.) in total

  • Challenging 18 hole 6,428 yards (par 72) parkland golf course originally founded in 1989

  • Extensive parking area for over 100 cars
  • Planning permission for a new 50 sq. m. Starters Hut

Announcing the sale for an undisclosed sum, Tom Marriott said, “This club has bags of potential being so well located within the M25. The sale was completed the day after the General Election which vindicates the stability in our market place.”
