Tulfarris Hotel and Golf Resort at Blessington Lakes in Co Wickow, Ireland, has been placed on the market with a guide price of €5 million.

DTZ Sherry FitzGerald has been appointed as selling agents for the property, which is being sold on the instructions of receiver Paul McCann of Grant Thornton.

According to The Irish Times, Tulfarris, which is set on 220 acres 30km and includes an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Patrick J Merrigan, is a 67-bedroom modern hotel with a further seven bedrooms in a fine 18th century manor house.

The report adds that developer Paddy Kelly, who bought the property for €17.5 million in 2003, lost control of Tulfarris after Anglo Irish Bank appointed a receiver in 2009 to collect loans of €25 million. Since then, a hotel asset management services group was appointed to run the resort.
