British Open Blind Golf Championships tees off at Belton Woods

The ISPS Handa British Open Blind Golf Championships gets underway at QHotels Belton Woods Golf & Spa in Lincolnshire today (July 10), with competitors from England, Ireland, Scotland, Austria, Netherlands, Australia and Spain represented in a strong international field that includes four world champions.

The ISPS Handa British Open Blind Golf Championships gets underway at QHotels Belton Woods Golf & Spa in Lincolnshire today (July 10), with competitors from England, Ireland, Scotland, Austria, Netherlands, Australia and Spain represented in a strong international field that includes four world champions.

Players will be competing over three days – July 10-12 – across three categories for blind golfers – B1 (Totally Blind), B2 (less than 5% vision), and B3 (less than 10% vision).

The tournament is being organised by the England & Wales Blind Golf, which was set up in 1989 and provides visually impaired men and women with the opportunity to meet other players and compete in a competitive environment no matter their ability.
