Greece’s Costa Navarino, the prime sustainable golf destination in the Mediterranean, will play host to the 1st Messinia Pro-Am from 21 – 24 February 2017.

The new event aims to become an established tournament on the international Pro-Am schedule helping to contribute to the development and promotion of golf and golf tourism in Greece.  The Pro-Am falls under the auspices of the PGAs of Europe, PGA of Greece, and the Hellenic Golf Federation and is supported by Aegean Airlines.

The Messinia Pro-Am will see teams of three amateurs and a PGA Professional battle it out over The Dunes Course and The Bay Course at Costa Navarino, with Professionals competing for a prize fund of €30,000.

“Golf has again become an Olympic sport for the first time since 1904,” said Mr. George Hadjiosif, Director of Local Operations, Navarino Dunes, Costa Navarino.

“In Costa Navarino, we are proud to launch the Messinia Pro-Am, an international golf tournament aiming to become an established institution hosting the golfing elite from around the globe and promoting golf and golf tourism in Greece. Being under the auspices of the PGAs of Europe is an honour for us and we look forward to a successful event.”
