A 37-year-old PGA Tour veteran used Nippon Shaft products to win a six-man playoff in the PGA Tour’s season finale at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The Aiken, South Carolina native hit his approach shot to three feet on the second playoff hole and sank his birdie putt to win the Wyndham Championship and $1,152,000 in prize money. He used N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 120 TX flex steel shafts in his irons and N.S.PRO MODUS³ Wedge 125 steel shafts in his wedges to shoot 15-under par in regulation and secure his fourth PGA Tour victory.
It was the 247th victory for Nippon Shaft’s Modus Series of steel shafts, developed and designed specifically for professionals and single-digit handicappers.
