Callaway Golf has announced the signing of Oliver Fisher to its team of staff professionals competing on the European Tour.

Fisher, 31 is the only player ever to shoot 59 in a competitive round on the European Tour, writing himself into the history books at the 2018 Portugal Masters with a blemish-free round containing 10 birdies and an eagle. The Essex-born player enjoyed a stellar amateur career, winning the Faldo Series, the McGregor Trophy and the St Andrews Links Trophy, and he was the youngest ever Walker Cup player in 2005.

He qualified for the European Tour while still an amateur in 2006, becoming the youngest Briton to win a Tour card. He went on to win his first title at the 2011 Czech Open, and finished the 2019 season ranked 106th in the Race to Dubai.

Peter Harrison, Director of Tour Relations, Callaway Golf EMEA, added: “It is fantastic to welcome Oli to the team, and it will be exciting to watch what he can achieve with the support of both the team and products at Callaway over the coming months.”

Fisher has started the 2020 season with a full bag of Callaway clubs, including a Mavrik Sub Zero driver and fairway woods, Apex MB irons, four Jaws MD5 wedges, and an Odyssey Toulon San Diego putter.
