Iconic British brand Penfold Golf has announced the signing of tour professional Matt Wallace as its newest brand ambassador for bags and accessories.
Founded in 1927 by legendary British ball maker A.E. Penfold, whose innovations revolutionised golf equipment, Penfold became a symbol of precision, performance, and style — proudly carried by generations of golfers from the club level to the world stage. Today, the brand continues to honour that tradition of craftsmanship while reimagining classic British design for the modern game. Wallace becomes the first Penfold ambassador on tour since Seve Ballesteros won his first Open Championship in 1979.
“Matt embodies everything Penfold stands for including British excellence, determination, and a touch of understated style,” said Gavin Perrett, CEO of Penfold Golf. “As we continue to build on our remarkable legacy, having a player of Matt’s caliber carrying our bags and accessories is the perfect fit.”
Wallace, a proven winner on both the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, will showcase Penfold’s premium bag and accessory collections throughout the season. Speaking about the partnership, he said: “Penfold has been a part of British golf for almost a hundred years. To represent an iconic brand that’s always stood for quality and authenticity while having the association with some of the game’s most legendary players like Seve, Gary Player and Sir Nick Faldo, is something very special to me. I’m proud to carry the Penfold name on tour.”
The partnership will include exclusive product collaborations and appearances in upcoming campaigns that celebrate Penfold’s heritage and craftsmanship, leading into the brand’s 100th anniversary in 2027. Wallace will be using his Penfold staff bag, which is inspired by the same bag used by Seve in 1976, at The American Express in California this week.
