SkyCaddie on a Swiss roll at Bad Ragaz

In last weekend’s Swiss Seniors Open at Golf Club Bad Ragaz, almost three-quarters of the top 30 and ties, and eight of the top ten finishers and ties, used SkyCaddie GPS rangefinders.

Distance measurement specialists SkyCaddie enjoyed another dominant week in the latest tournament on the Legends Tour.

In last weekend’s Swiss Seniors Open 2025, at Golf Club Bad Ragaz, almost three-quarters of the top 30 and ties, and eight of the top ten finishers and ties, used SkyCaddie GPS rangefinders during the event.

Recent Legends tournament winners Keith Horne, Van Phillips and Robert Coles – all SkyCaddie users – finished as runners-up, just two shots back of the victorious Mark Brown from New Zealand.

SkyCaddie user Thomas Levet, who played in Europe’s victorious 2004 Ryder Cup team, shot a stunning final-day 62 to claim the low round of the week.

The Legends Tour is Europe’s most prestigious tour which allows the use of distance measurement devices in tournament play.

“Last week we had 39 tour pros who use a SkyCaddie GPS rangefinder through choice, playing in Switzerland” said SkyCaddie’s James Holmes. “They look at their SkyCaddies off the tee, when planning strategic layups, and for shots to the green. For the many occasions where a laser cannot be used, such as when facing blind approaches, and playing on steep uphill slopes or from behind trees, only SkyCaddie users can still get a yardage to the exact spot where they want to land the ball.

“That’s because trained SkyCaddie course mappers have walked every yard of the golf course beforehand. Every tee, fairway, hazard, key hole feature, green and major green contour has been mapped on foot, and all distance points have been painstakingly logged with professional survey-grade GPS equipment.

“Only SkyCaddie does this in the world of golf” Holmes continued. “This enables Legends Tour competitors to trust the number which their SkyCaddie gives them, instantly. Our latest PRO 5X and PRO 4X Tour Books achieve sub-yard accuracy, and give the player a huge amount of additional course information that they cannot get with a laser.

“Small wonder then that SkyCaddie users have dominated leaderboards and the Order Of Merit on the Legends Tour for the last five years” he said.

SkyCaddie is Official Distance Measurement Device for the Legends Tour, and tour officials use SkyCaddie yardages to produce pin sheets which show the week’s pin positions.

Users can then download each day’s pin placements directly to their SkyCaddie device, giving laser-accurate yardages from anywhere on the hole.
