Three historic Fife golf clubs have teamed up to launch “Links With History” packages tailored to the domestic and international visitor market.
Ladybank, Lundin Links and The Crail Golfing Society have joined forces to offer golfers the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable adventure, under the tagline “One Pass. Three Courses. A Lifetime Memory.”
It’s the perfect opportunity to experience the joys of classic Scottish links golf and one of Scotland’s finest heathland challenges – over three Open qualifying courses with a collective history of more than 500 years.

Set amongst Scots pine and heather linked fairways, Ladybank Golf Club (pictured above), founded in 1879 with six holes crafted by Old Tom Morris, has hosted seven final qualifying rounds for The Open at St Andrews since 1978.
Ryder Cup player and 1999 Open champion Paul Lawrie has hailed it as one of the UK’s finest heathland courses.
Crail’s Craighead Links, designed by acclaimed American architect Gil Hanse, is a spectacular modern links set along the rugged coastline south of St Andrews while the Lundin Golf Club, overlooking Largo Bay, was designed by Old Tom Morris in 1868, with legendary Scots architect James Braid beginning work on panoramic new holes in 1908.
Alison Player, Membership and Sales Manager at Ladybank, said that all three courses benefit from their proximity to each other and “The Home of Golf,” with The Open returning to St Andrews next year.
“The three clubs have come together to promote ‘Links with History,’ a pass which provides a memorable golfing journey through some of the Kingdom of Fife’s most revered and historic clubs,” explained Alison.
“Each of the courses has its own character and is woven into the fabric of Scottish golf. We are delighted with the early response for bookings for the season ahead.
“The clubs have close collaborative ties stretching back decades, with members playing regular, rotating matches in the LCL – Ladybank, Crail and Lundin. Each take a turn at hosting the end of season finale featuring mixed teams.
“Fife lends itself to a golfing break, with a wide range of excellent accommodation, restaurants and bars in a compact area.
“And if there are non-golfers in a group, there is a wealth of historic attractions and fabulous scenery to occupy their time.”

The £320 package includes one round at each course: Lundin, Crail Craighead and Ladybank.
For a £50 supplement golfers can opt to play Crail’s historic Old Tom Morris 1895 classic Balcomie Links instead of Craighead Links.
