The Normandy Golf Directory 2000 is now available free of charge from the Regional Tourist Office in the UK. With details of 25 conveniently situated golf clubs – many within a few minutes of the Normandy ferry ports – the colour guide book contains information on course lengths and green fees which start at less than £16.
As Normandy is primarily a holiday area – many Parisians have second homes in the region – many courses are particularly quiet during the week and advance booking is not always required.
The brochure also contains details of reasonably priced hotel accommodation on or near to the courses. Some have passport arrangements where golfers can play several courses in the same locality and some offer accommodation and green fee packages starting at around £85 for 2 nights and 3 day’s golf (the Evreux Golf Club and Mercure Hotel).
