Consumer golf media National Club Golfer is to launch a new iOS and Android app showcasing its renowned NCG Top 100s rankings lists, accompanied by a redesigned web experience.

The update, which will take place later this summer, will include new interactive features that allow users to curate and manage their own lists, leave reviews and build personal wish lists of courses.

“This is a seminal moment for our Top 100s vertical,” said Tom Irwin, Director of NCG Top 100s. “We are proud of what we have built in partnership with TaylorMade – an event series that is now 100 strong and hosts almost 10,000 golfers across the year.

“TaylorMade bought in early to our idea to build an amateur golf tour at scale and are now reaping the rewards, with recent survey data showing usage of their golf ball leading the way among our customers.”

Alongside this, the Top 100s Tour website will migrate from WordPress to Shopify – a platform better suited to handle the growing volume of daily transactions and bookings.

“This week we are proud to be launching the first videos and social posts supporting our NCG Top 100s vertical,” said Irwin. “The centrepiece is our new ‘48 Hours in…’ series of long-form films and podcasts that bring to life the experience of visiting the great golfing destinations featured in our ranking lists and visited by our tour.

“We believe we now have the most rounded Top 100s offer – the most events, the most golfers, the most credible ranking lists, the best digital experience and – perhaps the thing we are most proud of – the best content.”
