Terre Blanche retains top spot in France in new Golf World resort ranking

Provençal venue keeps no.1 ranking for golf resorts in France

Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort, Provence, has retained its position as France’s No.1 golf resort in a new global listing, which has been published today [December 24].

The iconic 36-hole destination, featuring a five-star luxury hotel, spa and Michelin starred restaurant, as well as Europe’s top golf academy, is the best in France according to Golf World’s Top 100 World Resorts.

Just 45 minutes’ drive from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport – serviced by direct flights from across Europe, North America and the Middle East – the European Tour Destination is the only venue in France to feature both a luxury resort and private members’ club.

It is also the first and only Troon Privé affiliated property in France.

Chris Bertram, Editor of Golf World Top 100, said: “There are two world-class courses at Terre Blanche: the championship-hosting Le Château, which offers a dramatic playing experience with numerous elevated tees and views across the hills of Provence; and the members- and guests-only Le Riou, a tactical, tree-lined layout that is both challenging and a delight to play.

“With upgrades coming to both courses overseen by European Golf Design, I fully expect these already outstanding courses will get even better. Combined with a sensational hotel and all-round resort, Terre Blanche is the clear No.1 golf resort in France.”

Terre Blanche boasts two championship courses and is a regular host of Ladies European Tour and Legends Tour events

Marc Delauné, President of Terre Blanche, commented: “Retaining our position as France’s No.1 golf resort, while once again being recognised among the very best destinations in the world, reflects the long-term vision we have for excellence across golf, hospitality and resort experiences.

“This listing is testament to the work of our dedicated team and our commitment to continually enhancing experiences for our guests.”

Terre Blanche is also a leader in environmental stewardship and sustainability. The resort is one of only three golf venues in France to have received the Gold Certificate for Biodiversity from the French Golf Federation and the National Museum of Natural History.

Set within a 300-hectare Provençal estate close to the French Riviera, Terre Blanche delivers a complete luxury resort experience. The five-star hotel, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and Virtuoso Preferred, comprises 115 suites and villas, alongside Michelin-starred dining at Le Faventia, world-class spa and wellness facilities, a state-of-the-art kids’ club and Europe’s leading academy and golf performance centre.
