Dr Kyle Phillpots, who has led in establishing The PGA’s world-recognised training programme, will have a new role when he takes up a position as PGA Executive Director – Education, Global Development in January, 2016.

His new position and responsibilities will ensure that The PGA is able to remain at the forefront of member education as well as taking advantage of international opportunities.

Phillpots joined the Association in 1999 and in that time he and his team have developed a world class member education provision including a commitment to lifelong learning.

He has also taken the leadership position within The PGA World Alliance and most recently led the development of an international coaching programme linked to golf being included in the Olympics from 2016.

In recent times there has been a major change within golf clubs, with more and more looking to recruit golf club managers and, to ensure PGA Members have the skills to adapt to these new challenges and opportunities, Phillpots has also been leading the development of a golf club management qualification.

With the game continuing to grow around the world the Association has recognised there is an opportunity to expand education services internationally and Phillpots’s new role reflects that.
