Eight players have qualified for the American team: PGA Champion Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas, Patrick Reed, Bubba Watson, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and Webb Simpson. Jim Furyk will make four additional Captain’s Picks: three on September. 4th and one on September 10 after the BMW Championship, the third of four FedEx Cup Playoff events.

The final qualifying event for the European team is the Made in Denmark Tournament, which takes place from August 30 – September 2. In addition to the eight automatic qualifiers, Thomas Bjørn will name his four wild card selections who will complete the 2018 European Ryder Cup Team on Wednesday September 5, at 14:00 BST. The announcement will be made as part of a special one hour TV show
