iGolf has recorded its strongest-ever month for new subscribers, underlining the continued growth of non-club golf and the vital role it plays in bringing more people into the game.
Last month, iGolf welcomed over 6,100 new subscribers, marking a significant milestone for the platform as it continues to support golfers in gaining a Handicap Index® and tracking their progress. The growth reflects a sustained increase in appetite for flexible ways to play the game, while also strengthening the pipeline into traditional club membership.
So far this year, nearly 1,000 new female subscribers have joined iGolf, highlighting positive momentum in making the sport more inclusive and accessible.
Meanwhile, iGolfers recorded 105,445 rounds in May – the first time ever that the figure has passed 100,000. There was also a 12.8% increase on scores submitted from January-May 2026, compared to 2025, with over 270,500 rounds played, demonstrating strong engagement and enthusiasm among the growing community.

Importantly, iGolf continues to act as a gateway into club membership, with nearly 30,000 iGolfers having transitioned into affiliated golf clubs since the platform’s launch. This progression reinforces iGolf’s role in supporting golfers at the start of their journey before helping them take the next step into club life.
The community’s growth is also reflected in its digital presence, with iGolf now surpassing 10,000 followers on Instagram, building a vibrant space to inspire, support and connect golfers of all abilities.
Claire Hodgson, iGolf/iPlay Director, said: “This record month is a fantastic milestone for iGolf and a testament to the growing appetite for the game. We’re seeing more people than ever discovering golf, gaining their first Handicap Index® and building a real connection with the sport.
“What’s particularly encouraging is how iGolf is supporting golfers on their journey – from those taking their very first steps, to many who are now moving into club membership and becoming part of the wider golf community. That progression is vital to the long-term health of the sport, and we’re incredibly proud to play a role in it.”
iGolf continues to provide an accessible, flexible way for golfers to engage with the game, track their performance and develop their skills. By supporting players wherever they choose to play, iGolf is helping to nurture a lasting love of golf and ensuring more people feel welcomed into the sport.
