Scottish Golf will bring clubs together at six regional forums across Scotland this November, with governance, visitor market trends and opportunities for growth heading the programme.
More than 120 clubs have already signed up for the autumn series, which will give representatives an opportunity to discuss business challenges, share ideas and hear an update from chief executive Robbie Clyde on the development of Scottish Golf’s 2027-30 strategy.
The sessions will also provide clubs with Scottish Golf’s latest research, insights and data to help inform decisions at club level. Representatives from The PGA, the Club Management Association of Europe’s Scottish region and the British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association will attend.
The programme begins with the West Forum at Pollok Golf Club in Glasgow on November 3, followed by the South West Forum at Kilmarnock Barassie in Troon on November 4 and the East Forum at Royal Musselburgh on November 5.
The North East Forum takes place at McDonald Golf Club in Ellon on November 11, with the North Forum at Cabot Highlands in Inverness on November 12. Blairgowrie Golf Club will host the concluding Central Forum on November 17.
Each event’s published agenda opens with arrivals from 9.30am and a welcome from the host club at 10am. Following an introduction from Scottish Golf, CEO Robbie Clyde will deliver a strategy update at 10.15am.
Club governance will then take centre stage, with Scottish Golf leading table discussions exploring its key elements and giving attendees an opportunity to exchange experiences with other clubs.
A presentation from The Revenue Club at 11.30am will examine the visitor market and opportunities for growth, providing a commercial focus for clubs looking to develop this part of their business.
A complimentary lunch is scheduled for noon, followed by the opportunity to play golf from 1pm.
Clubs are invited to register for their local forum through Scottish Golf at www.scottishgolf.org/regional-forums
