A new podcast dedicated to celebrating the people, places and stories behind Welsh golf is already making an impact, with Golf Pod Cymru reaching its 10th episode just months after its launch.

Launched in April, the podcast, which puts out new episodes every fortnight, is positioning itself as a platform for the entire Welsh golfing community, covering everything from elite professionals and established names to club professionals, greenkeepers, amateurs and the people working behind the scenes to grow the game.

Golf Pod Cymru is hosted by golf-mad actor and sports broadcaster Rhys ap William, alongside Eryl Williams, Managing Director of Asbri Golf, and PGA professional Matt Dearden. The trio combine their knowledge and passion for the game to deliver conversations that look beyond scores and tournament results.

The podcast has already attracted an impressive range of guests, reflecting the breadth of Welsh golf. Those appearing so far include Peter Evans, Head Professional at Royal Porthcawl, former European Tour winner Bradley Dredge, Oliver Farr and Toby Hunt.

Alongside interviews with players, Golf Pod Cymru examines the challenges and opportunities facing Welsh golf, the courses that continue to inspire golfers and the characters who help give the game its distinctive identity.
