National Club Golfer unveils a new era for Your Golf by NCG

At the heart of the relaunch is the ambition to make Your Golf by NCG the most trusted source of equipment and coaching content in golf

National Club Golfer has unveiled a major evolution of the equipment and instruction content produced under its Your Golf by NCG brand.

The refreshed editorial strategy moves away from a high-volume publishing model in favour of authoritative, in-depth content built around independent testing, expert instruction and a fully integrated, multi-platform approach.

At the heart of the relaunch is the ambition to make Your Golf by NCG the most trusted source of equipment and coaching content in golf. It will produce authoritative resources for golfers while increasing the brand’s visibility across search engines and AI-powered discovery platforms.

Rather than prioritising a high volume of standalone product reviews, Your Golf by NCG will focus on definitive annual comparison tests covering every major equipment category. These will include drivers, irons, wedges, putters, golf balls, electric trolleys, shoes and apparel. Each guide will feature expert analysis and be updated annually to ensure golfers have access to the latest buying advice.

Every flagship project will be developed as a complete editorial campaign, extending beyond the website to include dedicated YouTube videos, podcast episodes, social content, product reels and affiliate commerce features. The website will act as the permanent home for the insight generated across these platforms, creating a connected ecosystem designed around how modern golfers consume content.

Transparency is central to the new editorial approach. Every equipment category will follow a documented testing methodology covering the test environment, player profiles, performance metrics, subjective assessment, value analysis and final verdicts. NCG will also explain its testing process through dedicated videos, podcasts and editorial features, giving golfers greater confidence in every recommendation.

The relaunch will also make the Your Golf Podcast a centrepiece of the brand’s editorial output. Alongside regular equipment news, listeners will gain behind-the-scenes access to testing days, discussions about the latest technology, expert buying advice and conversations with leading equipment manufacturers, club designers, fitters and coaches from across the industry.

Instruction will also play a greater role within the Your Golf brand. Working alongside leading PGA Professionals and coaches, NCG will produce comprehensive coaching guides covering every aspect of the game, from driving and iron play to putting and the short game. Each guide will be supported by long-form video, podcast discussions and short instructional clips throughout the year.

To complement the new testing programme, NCG will launch a dedicated Equipment News Hub, providing golfers with a single destination for the latest product launches, tour equipment updates, manufacturer announcements and industry developments. Rather than sitting apart as standalone news stories, this coverage will feed into the wider Your Golf ecosystem. This will give significant launches and developments immediate coverage while allowing them to be incorporated into longer-term buying guides and annual comparison tests.

Nicola Slater, Equipment Editor at NCG, said of the new editorial strategy: “Golfers are consuming equipment content in more ways than ever before, and this new approach reflects that. We’re bringing together independent testing, expert instruction, video, podcasts, social content and written reviews into one connected experience.

“Our goal is to create the most trusted destination for golfers looking to make informed equipment decisions while maintaining the editorial independence that National Club Golfer has built its reputation on.”
