FootJoy strengthens product specialist team in Ireland

Daniel O’Connor becomes fourth member of the FootJoy shoe fitting team covering Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

FootJoy continues to reinforce its commitment to supporting footwear education and fitting with the addition of a new Product Specialist position.

Daniel O’Connor has joined as the fourth member of the dedicated FootJoy shoe fitting team, covering Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

O’Connor, who is a fully trained PGA Professional, has been involved in the golfing industry from a young age and has gained experience across a range of roles including a Professional Golf Shop Manager, PGA Teaching Professional and most recently as a Golf Operations Manager at Glasson Golf Club.

“I am extremely excited to join the FootJoy team and work for a brand that has really inspired me from a young age,” said O’Connor. “I remember as a young lad owning my first pair of FootJoy golf shoes and the excitement I felt at the time. I struggle to think of another brand out there that can create such a unique and special feeling when putting on the product for the first time.

“You know the FJ brand carries both prestige and quality, and whether you are going to purchase a pair of shoes, a glove or any of its apparel products, it is going to be exceptional quality.

“I am looking forward to travelling across Northern and the Republic of Ireland to create more awareness and provide education of the importance of being correctly fitted for performance footwear and the impact it can have on the golf course.

“I will be the first FJ Product Specialist to service both countries, and I look forward to working with trade accounts to support their needs.”

O’Connor joins FootJoy after a very successful first quarter to the year for the brand, which has seen both its footwear and glove categories continue to lead the way in the sector, alongside its apparel line that is continuing to gain popularity.

Retailers interested in getting in touch with O’Connor or any member of the FJ Product Specialist team to host an educational session or shoe fitting event at their golf club or facility in 2026, should contact their regional FootJoy Area Sales Manager.
