TMRW Sports appoints former European Tour Group executive to new role at TGL

Overseeing TMRW Sports’ golf businesses, Rufus Hack brings experience from Sony Sports, Ryder Cup Europe & the DP World Tour.

TMRW Sports has named Rufus Hack as president of its golf division, where he will lead all of the company’s golf businesses, including TGL presented by SoFi in partnership with the PGA TOUR, WTGL in partnership with the LPGA, SoFi Center and other TMRW Sports golf initiatives in development. 

Most recently, Hack served as CEO of Sony Sports. He previously was COO of the DP World Tour and Ryder Cup Europe, as well as managing director for European Tour Productions. 

In the newly created role, Hack will relocate with his family from London to Orlando and report to Mike McCarley, founder and CEO, TMRW Sports. Elevate Talent was retained by TMRW Sports to lead the search for this role.

As CEO of Sony Sports, Hack oversaw five global business units, including Hawk-Eye, STATSports, Pulselive, Beyond Sports and KinaTrax. During his tenure, Sony Sports expanded partnerships with 23 of the world’s top 25 global sports leagues and more than 800 professional sports clubs. 

Previously, as COO of the PGA European Tour and Ryder Cup Europe, Hack led content, production, media sales, business development, strategy, finance and legal operations. As managing director of European Tour Productions, he oversaw a team of more than 200 employees producing live and recorded golf coverage worldwide, drove the commercial strategy for European Tour and Ryder Cup content, and negotiated more than 25 international media rights agreements.
