The Staysure Legends Tour has this morning announced that Chart Hills Golf Club will host the English Legends from 28th – 30th August adding a distinguished new venue to the Tour’s schedule.
The event further strengthens the Staysure Legends Tour’s presence in the UK and Ireland, with confirmed tournaments in Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and now England bringing elite competition to all corners of the British Isles this summer.
Located in the heart of Kent, Chart Hills is recognised among England’s leading venues, ranked in the Golf World Top 100 and shaped by a sustained programme of investment that has elevated both playing conditions and the overall experience. Designed by six-time Major champion Sir Nick Faldo and opened in 1993, the course is defined by bold, strategic architecture and a series of memorable holes, including the iconic par-5 5th, ‘The Anaconda’, and the island green par-3 17th.
The 2026 English Legends will once again bring together Major champions, Ryder Cup players, and proven Tour winners, with many of the most recognisable names in European golf expected to feature, including eight-time Order of Merit winner Colin Montgomerie, 1999 Open champion Paul Lawrie and 2005 US Open winner Michael Campbell.
The English contingent is set to be strongly represented, including 1993 Ryder Cup player and 2023 Staysure Legends Tour Order of Merit winner Peter Baker, alongside BMW PGA Championship winners David Howell and Simon Khan, as well as British Masters winner Greg Owen. There will also be a number of Ryder Cup players, including the likes of Stephen Gallacher, Jamie Donaldson, Phillip Price, Thomas Levet and Joakim Haeggman.
David Adams, Managing Director of the Staysure Legends Tour, said: “We are delighted to bring the English Legends to Chart Hills this summer. The venue has undergone an impressive transformation, and its distinctive design provides a fantastic stage for our players. We look forward to showcasing Chart Hills to a global audience and delivering a memorable week of golf.”
Anthony Tarchetti, General Manager at Chart Hills, added: “To welcome an event of this calibre is a significant moment for Chart Hills and a reflection of the journey the club has been on in recent years. The combination of our championship course, the improvements we have made across the property, and the strength of the Staysure Legends Tour creates a platform for a truly memorable week. We are proud to showcase the course to some of the game’s most recognisable names.”
Recent enhancements across the property have further strengthened Chart Hills’ credentials as a championship venue. A comprehensive programme of improvements has included full fairway sandcapping, the reconstruction of all 72 teeing areas, and the addition of new short game facilities. Among these are The Loop, a six-hole par-3 course, and an expansive putting green inspired by Faldo’s design philosophy, creating a complete environment for both elite competition and player development.
A defining feature of the English Legends is the opportunity it offers amateurs to get closer to the game than ever before. For those who have dreamed of teeing it up alongside Ryder Cup legends and Major champions, the event provides a rare chance to step inside the ropes and experience life as a professional for a week. From playing alongside icons of the game during tournament rounds to sharing stories with them off the course, it is an experience unlike anything else in sport.
With its distinctive design and continued investment in world-class facilities, Chart Hills offers a compelling new stage for the English Legends, reinforcing the Staysure Legends Tour’s commitment to delivering elite competition at some of the game’s most exciting venues.
