Hoebridge Golf Centre has officially unveiled a major £200,000 refurbishment of its on-site gym, introducing state-of-the-art Technogym equipment and positioning the venue as one of the most advanced fitness and leisure destinations in the region.
The newly upgraded facility, a BGL Golf venue, reopened on Good Friday following a two-week transformation, with members and prospective visitors invited to experience the cutting-edge equipment at a dedicated launch event.
The investment marks a significant step forward for Hoebridge’s leisure offering, combining premium fitness technology with its established reputation as one of Surrey’s leading golf destinations.
At the heart of the new gym is Technogym’s latest innovation, including the Technogym Checkup – an advanced assessment station that uses AI-powered technology to measure physical and cognitive performance. The system provides users with a personalised ‘Wellness Age’, alongside tailored training programmes designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance and overall fitness.
Members also benefit from access to the Technogym app, enabling them to track workouts, monitor progress and follow bespoke training plans, both in the gym and remotely.
Sarah Blunden, General Manager at Hoebridge Golf Centre, said: “This investment reflects our commitment to providing a first-class experience for both our members and the wider community. By partnering with Technogym, we’ve created a facility that not only looks fantastic, but genuinely helps people achieve better results through personalised, data-driven training.
“What makes Hoebridge unique is the ability to combine fitness with golf. Our team can help members use the gym to improve their performance on the course, while also supporting their overall health and wellbeing.”
The gym upgrade further strengthens Hoebridge’s position as a multi-faceted leisure hub, offering far more than just golf.
Alongside its modern fitness suite, the centre features a comprehensive golf offering catering to all abilities, including multiple courses, practice facilities, and coaching. Its welcoming clubhouse provides a social space for members and visitors alike, creating a well-rounded environment for both sport and relaxation.
Hoebridge offers a range of flexible membership packages to suit different lifestyles, from dedicated gym access to full “lifestyle memberships” that combine fitness, classes and golf.
Existing golf members can upgrade to include gym and fitness classes, while new members can choose all-inclusive options that bring together health, fitness and sport under one roof.
With personal trainers on hand and tailored programmes available from day one, the facility is designed to support everyone from beginners to experienced athletes.
The refurbished gym is now open to both members and non-members, with Hoebridge encouraging local residents to visit and experience the new facilities first-hand.
“Whether you’re looking to improve your fitness, take up golf, or simply join a friendly and welcoming community, Hoebridge has something to offer,” Blunden added.
From spectacular and challenging championship courses amidst rolling English countryside to high-quality, family-friendly nine-hole layouts and superb short courses, BGL Golf owns and operates 22 courses across 10 golf clubs. Many venues also feature technology-driven, experience-led driving ranges, offering golfers of all abilities the latest innovations in practice and social play.
