European Tour Destinations brought together 19 of its venues at the 4th IAGTO European Convention (IEC), reinforcing the collective strength of its portfolio while creating new commercial opportunities for member destinations.

Held at the Malaga Conference & Exhibition Centre on the Costa del Sol in Andalucia, from May 18-20, representatives from Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca, Camiral, Costa Navarino, Constance Belle Mare Plage, Constance Lemuria, Diamond Country Club, Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, Emirates Golf Club, INFINITUM Resort, Jumeirah Golf Estates, La Hacienda Links Golf Resort, Le Golf National, Le Touquet Golf Resort, Palmares Ocean Living & Golf, Quinta do Lago, Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, Terre Blanche, Vanajanlinna and Yas Links Abu Dhabi were able to promote their world-class venues to around 1,000 delegates, benefitting from valuable face-to-face time with buyers from key international markets.

Ian Knox, Head of European Tour Destinations, said: “Bringing 19 of our network venues together at the IAGTO European Convention created a fantastic platform to showcase the strength and diversity of our destinations.  Events like this are invaluable because they allow venues to build direct relationships with key tour operators, generate immediate commercial opportunities and strengthen their long-term international positioning within the golf tourism market.”

Flavio Papa, Director of Golf at Camiral in Spain, a long-term European Tour Destination and The 2031 Ryder Cup host venue, said: “IEC is an important event to strengthen international relationships and position Camiral competitively in a rapidly evolving golf travel market. This year is even more important as we look to capitalise on being a Ryder Cup host venue.

“Being at IEC as part of the European Tour Destinations network allows us to amplify our reach, and it’s always good to spend time with other network venues, hearing their news and sharing best practice.”
